PLAN
I love Johns Creek. I served on the City Council to make Johns Creek safe, strong, and successful. The collaboration and hard work of the City Council and staff, schools, and business community laid the foundation for Johns Creek’s recognition over the years as the “Best City” and “Safest City” in which to live. It’s a combination of all these groups working together. Not one person.
I am running for Mayor because we have lost our direction, set our priorities away from the best interests of Johns Creek, and don’t have the right people in place to get us back on track and take Johns Creek to the next level. I will restore leadership, ethics, integrity, and transparency to the Mayor’s office, ensure critical services are prioritized and fully funded, and put a stop to practices that put taxpayers at financial risk.
LEADERSHIP
I will work to unify the City Council, restore decorum and respect in City proceedings, and eliminate the discord and division created by the current Mayor. I will create an atmosphere and environment that is welcoming and positive to eliminate staff turnover and the loss of seven critical department heads and subject matter experts.
INTEGRITY & ETHICS
I will restore public trust in the Mayor’s office. I will never force debt or unvetted projects on the taxpayers of Johns Creek without their input first. Additionally, I will always conduct myself in an ethical fashion when making decisions on procurement practices and city expense accounts for the office of Mayor.
TRANSPARENCY
I will ensure there is complete and total transparency in government policy, planning, and operations.
First, department heads and subject matter experts will present their own budgets, opinions, findings, and recommendations to the Mayor, Council, and public.
Secondly, to ensure there is governmental efficiency, Johns Creek needs an internal auditor who reports to the Mayor and Council. This role will ensure accountability and transparency, financial responsibility, detection and prevention of fraud, and will enhance efficiency and effectiveness through financial, performance, and compliance audits.
