MEET KELLY

Kelly Stewart served on the City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Johns Creek. During her time on the City Council, Johns Creek was named the best and safest City. Kelly also served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Municipal Association and, as a corporate Human Resources Executive, Kelly served in national and global organizations.

During Kelly’s career, she worked in the local, state, and federal levels of government. At the federal level, Kelly worked on Capitol Hill in the US House of Representatives; at the state level, in the University System of Georgia; and at the local level, as a County Administrator and an elected official. Kelly was appointed by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to serve on the Board of Directors and School Board for the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Kelly is a recorded pianist, singer, and song writer. She was part of the distinguished Georgia 100 program. She received a citation from the Governor for her volunteer work in Junior Achievement and a commendation for Georgia’s work in Christians United For Israel.

Kelly received her Master’s degree in City Planning from Georgia Tech with specializations in Economic Development and Land Development, Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Brenau University, and Associate’s degree in Psychology from Gainesville State College.

Kelly is a Georgia native and is married to Tom Stewart. They have lived in Johns Creek since 2003.
